The new nine-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) provides instant gear changes, precisely matching the engine speed. The direct-drive rear motor, mounted between the engine and transmission, supports the gear change, braking and acceleration.
The front electric motors are applied in the NSX for dynamic torque transmission, as well as to increase the braking and accelerating characteristics of a sports car. As a result, the start will not be delayed, so that the driver can experience a real pleasure from the speed-up.
The total maximum power of this car is equal to 573 HP, while the peak speed has been recorded at around 307 km/h.
In the sports mode the multi-stage transmission shift to the next upper gear is carried out faster for the reduction of fuel expenditure. In the economy mode, when the rotational speed of the power unit is in the range of 2300-2700 rpm, the fuel consumption equals 11.5-11.9 liters for the distance of one hundred kilometers.
